So when one lives close to the woods one expects signs of nature to come close. The first night in the house we realized that when the lights are off we can really see the outside by moonlight. Which is awesome but kinda creepy when it's your first night in a new house.
So we've now been in for about 2 weeks and the house was empty for about 2 years before we moved in. This leads to nightly I'm taking down cobwebs and spider webs and killing my fair share of bugs. I'm OK with this to a certain extent, last night I came across a loaf of bread that had a large hole in the top of the bag and a nice section of 6 pieces of bread eaten away. We also have granite counter tops that are a darker brown. After close inspection I saw mouse droppings. I HATE MICE! So now we have to decide on traps. As I am the first one up, home at lunch and the first one home in the afternoons I'm most likely going to be the one to find a dead mouse......Not my favorite past time. So we will see what happens.
OK off to unpack some more boxes!
